UK commercial & industrial sites

Your site is costing more than it needs to.

Shockflo is an energy management platform for commercial and industrial sites. We read your half-hourly data, bring solar, battery storage, EV charging and HVAC into one operating model, and manage them to cut what your site pays.

Half-hourly import · 48 periods · weekday

Business park, 4 units, 3-phase, 6 × 7 kW EV chargers and packaged HVAC.

Indicative model built from the Shockflo screening method, not a customer result. Verified figures require half-hourly data, tariff detail and a technical survey.

Why sites underperform

Five ways a commercial site loses money on energy.

01

Peaks you pay for

02

Solar exported at a fraction of its value

03

Assets that don't talk to each other

04

Flexibility left on the table

05

Investment decisions made on guesswork

One platform, every asset

What we connect, what we do with it, and what you get back.

Lower energy costPeak demand reduced, solar self-consumed rather than exported, load moved to cheaper periods.
Visibility across every siteReal-time and historical performance for all assets, in one place, against a measured baseline.
Better asset performanceEquipment operated within its limits, with faults and drift surfaced early.
Capacity headroomMore load served from the connection you already have, deferring reinforcement.
Lower carbonMore of your consumption met by on-site generation and cleaner periods of the grid.
A route to new revenueEligible flexible capacity taken to flexibility markets through established UK aggregators.

Delivery of each item depends on the assets present, the site's constraints and its market eligibility. See exactly what's live, in commissioning and partner-enabled →

How flexibility actually works

Why the grid will pay your site to move its load.

  • 01The grid has to balance supply and demand every half hour of every day.
  • 02A site that can shift or reduce its load at short notice is worth money to that balancing act.
  • 03On its own, most commercial sites are too small to sell that value directly.
  • 04Combined across many sites, they're large enough. That combined block is what people mean by a virtual power plant.
  • 05Shockflo connects and controls the assets. Established UK aggregators take the combined capacity to market.

The Energy Roadmap

Four phases. Each one paid for by the one before it.

We don't ask you to invest before we understand your site. Six months of your own data tells us what's worth building — and what isn't.

PHASE 01

Connect

Controller installed. Assets read. Baseline established from live half-hourly data.

PHASE 02

Trade

Eligible flexible capacity entered into energy markets through established UK aggregators.

PHASE 03

Build

The data identifies what's worth investing in. Specified from measured consumption, not assumption.

PHASE 04

Optimise

New assets integrated, controlled and traded. The site improves rather than plateaus.

Why it's free. We're not giving equipment away. Where a site can participate in flexibility markets, we recover our investment from a share of the revenue those markets generate. You get the assessment, the controller, the installation and the platform at no cost. We get a site worth operating.

The controller stays ours. We supply, install and maintain it at no cost. It remains a Shockflo asset, so you carry no hardware risk and no maintenance liability.

And why now. Ten founding places in total. Two are already live and running; eight remain. Founding sites are the reference cases we build the business on — they get everything at no upfront cost, and they're first into market operation as each site is commissioned.

Shockflo is early. We need ten reference sites with real data, real integrations and results we can publish — more than we need ten invoices.

Integrated with

Protocol support: Modbus RTU/TCP · OCPP · BACnet · MQTT · manufacturer REST APIs.

Live API and protocol integrations. Device compatibility does not imply commercial partnership or endorsement.

Two live sites, connected and optimising. Shockflo is connected, collecting half-hourly data and actively optimising at two UK commercial sites — real businesses, cutting real cost. Detailed results available under NDA.

Before founding Shockflo, our founder delivered EV charging infrastructure across UK commercial estates — including national hotel groups, global logistics operators and international property management firms. Named references available on request.

How it works

Two ways to start. One sequence after that.

Route A

Data first

Send bills and half-hourly data. Desk-based assessment and opportunity report. Site visit follows if the case stacks up.

Free Online submission, AI qualification and engineer review — no charge, any site.
Route B

Site first

No data to hand, or you'd rather just meet. We survey the electrical intake, metering and comms routes first.

£495 · credited in full against deployment Free under the Founding Site Programme for qualifying sites.
  • 01Automated qualificationImmediate
  • 02Engineer reviewWithin 2 working days
  • 03Survey, then proposalScoped and priced
What we don't do
  • We are not an electricity supplier.
  • We are not a market optimiser — flexibility market access is delivered through established UK aggregators.
  • We don't sell you a platform before we've read your site.
Who you are dealing with

Send us a bill and a data file. We'll tell you if there's a case.

No obligation, and a straight answer if the site isn't a fit. We'd rather say so early than sell you a survey you don't need.
